EDUCATION

National Film & Television School (NFTS)

MA - Games Design and Development

February 2021 - present

I am currently in the first year of this 2 year course and so far I've been able to work on 5 games and collaborate with lots of talented individuals from all across the school (screenwriters, sound designers, composers). The course teaches all stages of the game-making process, with an emphasis on making very narrative-driven games.

From my short time there so far, I've learnt and grown so much, as a game designer and storyteller, and even areas that I previously wrote off are now a lot more understandable and even enjoyable (coding, for example!) and I look forward to learning even more over the next year.

Bournemouth University

BA - Computer Visualization and Animation (First Class Honours)

September 2016 - August 2019

The course covered all stages of the animation pipeline, from idea generation all the way up to rendering and compositing, and gave us access to learning with all the industry-standard software. Throughout my time there, I had the opportunity to build on my skills in teamwork, critical thinking and independent study, and point me in the direction I would later go on to specialize in.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Bournemouth, and being surrounded by highly motivated and talented people (classmates, lecturers and guest visitors) was invaluable to my overall learning experience.

University for the Creative Arts

Diploma in Art & Design: Foundation Studies (with Merit)

September 2015 - August 2016

This foundation Art course gave me the opportunity to learn a lot more about art theory, and work on a number of more experimental animations than I was used to and in a variety of mediums.

Churcher's College

GCSEs and A-Levels

September 2008 - August 2015

At this school, I did various GCSEs and A-Levels. One of these was an Art and Design GCSE, while the rest were academic, and not so helpful in my pursuing a career as a visual artist. Despite that, this school is where I first developed my desire to learn more about Animation and Games Design, and I will forever be grateful to the teachers, friends and family that encouraged me to pursue them.
